AMP - Assisted Multifamily Program, NYSERDA program to assist with WAP dollars in multifamily units
CBO - Community Based Organization (non-profits organizations)
CFR - Code of Federal Regulation
CPU - Cost Per Unit, acronym used in the PPM to designate how much your average cost per housing unit should be
CWSR - Consolidated Weatherization Status Report, one the many reports you submit to ESB
DHCR - Division of Housing & Community Renewal, State agency in NY that administers the ESB program as well as other housing programs
DOE - Department of Energy, Federal agency which administers the Weatherization Program at the Federal level.
EPA - Enviournmental Protection Agency, The EPA is the Federal agency that certifies your staff as Lead Supervisors, a requirement of our ESB
ESB - Energy Services Bureau, under DHCR.  This is the Weatherization Program at the state level
HEAP - Heating Energy Assistance Program, administered by OTDA.  This program helps low income families with energy bills and no-heat emergencies
HHS - Health & Human Services, Federal agency that administers the HEAP program
HUD - Housing & Urban Development, Federal agency which oversees many low income housing programs
LDSS - Local Department of Social Services
LIEAP - Low Income Energy Assistance Program administered by OTDA
LSW - Lead Safe Weatherization
NID - OSHA speak for Negative Initial Determination (see our Lead pages for further information
NYSERDA - N.Y. State Energy Research & Development Authority, Administers Energy Conservation Programs that many weatherization agencies are involved with
NYSCAA - NY State Community Action Association
NYSWDA - NY State Weatherization Directors Association
OFA - Office for the Ageing
OMB - Office of Management Bureau
OTDA - Used to be called Dept of Social Service, now Office of Temporary Disability Assistance
PAC - Policy Advisory Council, the body of representatives from WAP agencies and other NY State agencies that advises DHCR's ESB on policies related to our NY WAP Program.  Required by Federal Regulations (See Chapter 1, Page 10 of the PPM)
POI - Pollution Occurrence Insurance, required to insure your program for Lead Issues (See Chapter 2, Page 4 of the PPM)
PPM - Policy Procedure Manual, updated every year this document is your guidance for how to operate your program.
PSC - Public Service Commission, regulates and oversee NY's Public Utilities
RFP - Request for Proposal, acronym for bidding process
SBC - Systems Benefit Charge, Utility Companies and NYSERDA have funded energy programs with these funds which come from a small tax on Electric Utility bills
SIR -  Savings to Investment Ratio. The amount of money that something will save divided by the cost. If it is greater than one, the measure is cost effective
TIPS - Targeted Investment Protocol, this in NY's Energy Audit Tool
T&TA - Training & Technical Assistance, a portion of our federal DOE grant which can be used for training
UFS - Unaudited Financial Statement
WAP - Weatherization Assistance Program
WNI - Weatherization Network Initiative, a NYSERDA Program to supplement the WAP program with SBC funds
WPN - Weatherization Public Notices.  Official memos from DOE regarding the operation of weatherization.
