Site Supervisor

Hours:  F/T Monday-Thursday, 7am-5pm

Salary:  Determined by qualifications and budget (Unless subject to Davis Bacon)

Site Supervisor will complete construction related tasks in the field, document all materials used though out the day, work diligently and consistently, develop and supervise his/her crew mate.

Successful candidate will:

  • Perform and supervise general construction duties onsite
    • Installing insulation
    • Light framing
    • Installing and spackling sheetrock
    • Installing vapor barrier underneath houses and trailers
  • Perform or certify daily health and safety tests
    • CAZ
    • Draft
  • Meet or exceed daily “production standards”
  • Ensure the accuracy of the daily material used logs
    • Must be mindful of materials use by his/her crew mate
  • Delegate portions of the work scope efficiently and effectively
    • Maximize the skills of his/her crew mate
  • Apply knowledge of energy conservation gained with training
  • Work with new and cutting edge building materials such as
    • Two part foam
    • High R-Board
    • Dense pack insulation
    • Bubble wrap
  • Air sealing structures effectively (with knowledge gain from training)
    • Identify problem areas in the necessary to meet the “Air Goal” for each job
  • Light electrical work such replacing or installing
    • Light fixtures, and light bulbs
    • Bathroom, stove, and other types of fans or ventilation
  • Light plumbing such as installing (plumbing experience would expand capacity)
    • Low flow airrators and shower heads
    •  Faucets
    • Hot water heaters, and furnaces (if able)
  • Other tasks as needed/necessary for the advancement of programs and RDAC’s mission

Qualifications/Skills/Attributes

Minimum requirements:
Real and provable construction experience, consistently document materials accurately, work professionally and consistently, honesty and integrity; or a combination of experience and education that meets minimum requirement.

  • Significant construction experience
  • Creativity/insight/empathy
  • Respect without regard to socio-economic/cultural or any other diversities
  • Team player
  • Organized Multi-Tasker
  • Sense of humor
  • Valid driver’s license/reliable transportation
  • Extra consideration provided to applicant with a proven record of working effectively with elected leaders, public sector funding, and non-profit organizations.
