Course Description:
Applied Case Studies is a fast-paced journey into building envelope diagnostics and energy efficiency retrofit techniques with an emphasis on how to effectively tighten up the building enclosure from air sealing to insulation for improved energy efficiency in problem areas.

This two-day course takes real life situations that were found ont he job and will use those examples to focus on problem areas.  We will be looking at a variety of housing stock and working through real life examples found in the initial audit, work scope generation, the job, periodic diagnosis, workscope adjustment, post-audit and saving analysis.  We will discuss and demonstrate the tools of the trade from Infrared Imaging to Pressure Diagnostics with hands-on lab sessions in our Pressure House and with the ZPD House.


Agenda;:

Both days will be comprised of classroom discussions and lab activities.

Day One -  we will look at tightening the shell and using the tools of the trade to work smarter.

Day Two - we will look at the problems of tightening the house up and what we found and how we fixed it.
