EXPERIENCED HVAC techs



Course Description;

With the weatherization cost per unit average being increased from $4,500 to $6,500 per home, there is a great opporutnity to install higher efficiency heating appliances. 90% Install is a training for EXPERIENCED HVAC techs looking to sharpen their install skills. In this training, attendees will cut and thread black iron pipe, become Tracpipe certified, work with high and low voltage wiring and learn to manufacture plenum connections in the field with common hand tools. Venting code and manufacturer specifications will also be a high priority in this hands-on training. Everything you need to know about 90% furnace installations is rolled into this training.

Agenda;
Day 1 - will cover tools and their use, removal of old furnace, LSW review, preparing new furnace and duct connections

 

Day 2 - will cover installation guidelines, fuel connections, electric connections, venting/condensate removal, system start-up and job evaluation

 

Both days consist of half classroom / half lab work
