NYSWDA is pleased to announce the development and release of the new OSHA Hazard Communication (HazCom) training package to enable your agency to train your staff & be in compliance with the revised OSHA HazCom requirements. As of December 1st 2013 all employers are required to train their employees to these revised standards. One of the major changes is a new format for the Safety Data Sheets (SDS) which will replace the older Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) that we are all familiar with. New labeling requirements with new pictographs for products being shipped are also a major change we will see over the next few years.
NYSWDA has developed a short training, about one hour, to meet these requirements.The below training materials have been developed so a selected agency staff member can easily learn the training content and then train this material to all agency staff.
