Course
This intensive 4-day training based at NY SWDA's Energy Efficiency Training Center (Building 2) in East Syracuse, is a great introduction to building science principles and hands-on air sealin g, dense pack and loose fill cellulose insulation installation. Using our s tate-of-the-art realistic wall, ceiling and attic props, trainees will lear n the techniques needed to effectively weatherize our clients' homes.
ÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂ
During this course, the tr ainees will be introduced to both HCR and BPI standards and regulations on Health & Safety, Lead Safe work practices and safe and proper use of tools and equipment. Trainees will also become proficient on the set up of blower doors and understand basic use of an infrared camera during air sealing op erations.

All three H CR mandatory trainings are covered in this course:

The above-listed trainings are mandatory for the positions stated. If a sub
grantee hires a new employee into one of these postions, or a current emplo
yee transfers into one of these positions, it is mandatory that they receiv
e this training within six (6) months of their start date. These mandatory
training sessions must be repeated every three (3) years by subgrantee pers
onnel who occupy these positions.

r session, awarding of Certificates of Completion

Due to the nature of the training, all attendees will be required
to sign a waiver of liability and a photo/video release form at the start
