Course Description:
This four day course will prepare you t
o take the BPI Manufactured Housing Specialist Certification written and fi
eld tests. As part of this training, BPI standards and work practices will
be reviewed. Attendees will look at common problem areas during the course
of an energy audit and prepare a workscope to remedy these issues. Topics a
ddressed will include typical manufactured home construction, heating syste
m basics, distribution system evaluation and repairs, belly repair, air sea
ling and insulation best practices. Because of the large amount of BPI buil
ding analyst curriculum incorporated into this training, it is strongly rec
ommended that attendees hold BPI Building Analyst certification and have a
good working knowledge of auditing procedures. After the trainees successfully complete the written p
ortion of the test, we will schedule them for the Field test. Candidates h
ave one year from the time they pass the written test to complete their fie
ld test.
