Whenever we work on houses that were built before 1978 there is a good 
 chance that there could be lead based paint on the inside and outside. Dist
 urbing this paint could harm us and the families we work with. This NYSWDA 
 Lead Safe Weatherization Training satisfies the HCR requirement that all We
 atherization staff working in houses built before 1978 receive training on 
 safe work practices to reduce exposure to lead dust. NYSWDA uses the DOE cu
 rriculum which also satisfies the DOE and OSHA requirements for employees w
 orking around lead paint. This training is also required for your sub-contr
 actors' employees who work on weatherization units.\n
