Course< /em> Descript ion;
Th is intensive 4-day training based at NYSWDA's Energy Efficiency Training Ce nter (Building 2) in East Syracuse, is a great introduction to building sci ence principles and hands-on air sealing, dense pack and loose fill cellulo se insulation installation. Using our state-of-the-art realistic wall, ceil ing and attic props, trainees will learn the techniques needed to effective ly weatherize our clients' homes.

D uring this course, the trainees will be introduced to both HCR and BPI stan dards and regulations on Health & Safety, Lead Safe work practices and safe and proper use of tools and equipment. Trainees will also become profi cient on the set up of blower doors and understand basic use of an infrared camera during air sealing operations.

or a current employee transfers into one of these positions, it is mandato
ry that they receive this training within six (6) months of their start dat

Wednesday -
9:00am - 4:30pm: Lead Safe Work Practices Day Four
Thursday - 9:00am - 4:00pm: All day lab sessi on tool/equipment safety, lead safe jobsite setup, air sealing techniques, dense pack and loose fill cellulose installation techniques. Afternoon lab session: fundamentals of blower door setup and operation, plus jobsite and lead safe cleanup skills, training skills review, question and answer sessi on, awarding of Certificates of Completion
