is online course covers two, 3-hour sessions. Successful course compl
etion means the candidate must attend BOTH sessions in order to be awarded
CEU’s and a certificate of completion. YOU DO NOT NEED TO REGISTER TW

session is from 9:00am until noon.
Whenever we wor
k on houses that were built before 1978 there is a good chance that there c
ould be lead based paint on the inside and outside. Disturbing this paint c
ould harm us and the families we work with. This NYSWDA Lead Safe Weatheriz
ation Training satisfies the HCR requirement that all Weatherization staff
working in houses built before 1978 receive training on safe work practices
to reduce exposure to lead dust. NYSWDA uses the DOE curriculum which also
satisfies the DOE and OSHA requirements for employees working around lead
paint. This training is also required for your sub-contractors' employees w
ho work on weatherization units.
This is an HCR mandat
ed training for Weatherization Directors, Auditors, Crew Supervisors and Cr
ews. If you are a new Director or have new staff, you are strongly advised
to attend. This training requires attendance every three (3) years.
