One Day Lead Safe Weatherization - Online

Course Description:
This online course will be covered in one day. Class starts at 9:00a
m and will break at noon for an hour lunch. The next half session wil
l start at 1:00pm and go until 4:00pm.
When
ever we work on houses that were built before 1978 there is a good chance t
hat there could be lead based paint on the inside and outside. Disturbing t
his paint could harm us and the families we work with. This NYSWDA Lead Saf
e Weatherization Training satisfies the HCR requirement that all Weatheriza
tion staff working in houses built before 1978 receive training on safe wor
k practices to reduce exposure to lead dust. NYSWDA uses the DOE curriculum
which also satisfies the DOE and OSHA requirements for employees working a
round lead paint. This training is also required for your sub-contractors'
employees who work on weatherization units.
This is an
HCR mandated training for Weatherization Directors, Auditors, Crew Supervi
sors and Crews. If you are a new Director or have new staff, you are strong
ly advised to attend. This training requires attendance every three (
3) years.
