  program.  This short course will discuss program goals, workscope options,
  and roadblocks to look for as you select clients and homes to move into yo

Leaking roofs are a major source of deferral in the Weatheriz
 ation Assistance Program. Now, with funding made available through the Amer
 ican Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) local agencies will have the ability to repair 
 and replace residential roofing. This short course will introduce local pro
 grams to the various components of a roof, typical roofing materials, and s
 pecifics on what to look for when writing a scope of work to address the ro
 of. The course will also instruct students on how to properly measure a roo
 f and discuss potential issues they may run into. A sample specification an
 d bid sheet will be provided.\n
