Part 1: P roject Assessment - Finding the Right Project
Finding the right fit for a project that is within the parameters of ARPA will be critical to the success of the program. This short cours e will discuss program goals, workscope options, and roadblocks to look for as you select clients and homes to move into your ARPA schedule.

Leaking roofs are a major source of deferral in the Weatherization Assistance Program. Now, with funding made available throug h the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) local agencies will have the ability to repair and replace residential roofing. This short course will introduce local programs to the various components of a roof, typical roofing materi als, and specifics on what to look for when writing a scope of work to addr ess the roof. The course will also instruct students on how to properly mea sure a roof and discuss potential issues they may run into. A sample specif ication and bid sheet will be provided.
