Course Description: 

Radon is a natura lly occurring, radioactive element—meaning it gives off radiation— that can move through buildings as a colorless, odorless, tasteless gas.  It c an be found in buildings all over New York State, including single and mult i-family homes. Long term exposure to radon can be dangerous and is thought to be the second largest contributor to lung cancer after smoking.
Options are available to the WAP network through ARPA funding on how to manage or remediate radon in client housing.
