Course Description;\nThis comprehensive 3-day class ad
dresses the entire scope of actions required for an auditor in the New York
State Weatherization Program (WAP) to successfully accomplish their job.\n
\nThrough this class, we cover the back story on the program, governing doc
uments, the process for using the TIPS software modeling program to generat
e an appropriate work-scope and learning how to correctly complete the requ
ired NYS WAP paperwork.\n\nThis is done by reviewing concepts, using real-l
ife examples, and walking through case studies to learn the technical proce
sses and the nuances required to address the scope of a complete job.\n

Day 1 (morning): Background on weatherization, including leg
islation and implementation. A brief review of building science concepts a
nd pre-audit preparations.\nDay 1 (afternoon): Walk-through of the compone
nts of a weatherization audit and collection of information of a case study
and an introduction to computer modeling through TIPS software.\n\nDay 2 (
morning) Computer modeling concepts and application of the case study in T
IPS.\nDay 2 (afternoon): Continuation of TIPS concepts and work scope gener
ation, work order processes, and project management of expenses and present
ation for post inspection.\n\nDay 3 (morning): Additional case study and T
IPS modeling of additional case study.\nDay 3 (afternoon): Completion of TI
PS modeling discussion, review deferral process, post-audit review, working
with the State of New York Field Reps and a review of resource provided th
